Sampurna Swasthya
Sampurna means complete or whole. Swasthya is commonly translated as health, but its deeper meaning is connected with being established in oneself.
Together, Sampurna Swasthya expresses an idea that has become central to Dr. Sarang Patil’s work: health is more than the absence of disease. It is the process of becoming healthier, more balanced and more fully established in oneself, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and at the level of deeper wellbeing.
This does not mean ignoring disease. It does not mean replacing modern medical care with traditional practices, and it does not mean assuming that every health problem can be solved through lifestyle alone.
Rather, Sampurna Swasthya represents a whole-person approach to health: looking at the person behind the diagnosis, understanding the body while also considering the mind, and recognising the role of food, movement, breathing, sleep, relationships, meaning and inner wellbeing alongside appropriate medical care.
A Framework, Not a Treatment
Sampurna Swasthya is a philosophy and an educational framework, not a medical treatment, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for professional healthcare. Where a health concern requires medical evaluation or treatment, appropriate medical care always comes first.
