Editorial & Content Standards
This page explains who writes the content on this website, how it is reviewed, and how we try to distinguish between different kinds of health information.
Who Writes This Content
The content on this website is authored by Dr. Sarang Patil (learn more about his background). He is a naturopathy and yoga physician, researcher and educator with professional experience spanning clinical practice, psychophysiology research, yoga research, and integrative approaches to wellbeing. Where an article draws on specific documented experience, roles, or research, that connection is described in context rather than asserted generically.
How We Classify Information
Health information is not all the same kind of statement, and this site tries to be clear about which kind a given claim is:
- Evidence-based medical information: statements supported by established biomedical or clinical evidence.
- Research findings: specific findings from published research, presented as findings rather than settled universal fact.
- Clinical or professional perspective: observations reflecting professional experience or clinical reasoning, not presented as universal scientific fact.
- Traditional health concepts: ideas originating from Ayurveda, yoga philosophy, naturopathy, or other traditional frameworks, identified as such rather than presented as biomedical mechanisms.
- Practical lifestyle guidance: general, reasonable suggestions offered within clearly stated boundaries.
Traditional and complementary frameworks are discussed in their own context. They are not presented as equivalent to modern biomedical explanations, and they are not presented as substitutes for necessary medical evaluation or treatment.
Medical Review
Some articles on this site carry a “Medically Reviewed” badge. That badge is only applied when a specific reviewer has actually reviewed that particular piece of content for clinical accuracy. It is set individually, article by article, and it is never applied automatically or merely because Dr. Sarang Patil authored the site. If an article does not carry the badge, that does not mean it is inaccurate; it means no separate, individually recorded review has been marked for that piece yet.
Corrections and Updates
Health information changes over time, and mistakes are possible despite our efforts to be careful. If you notice something that appears inaccurate, outdated, or unclear, you can let us know by writing to drsarangpatil@gmail.com or through our Consultation & Contact page. We do not currently operate a separate formal editorial board; content review is carried out directly by the site’s author.
The Limits of This Website
Articles, guides, checklists, and self-assessments on this site are designed for education and self-reflection. They cannot establish an individual diagnosis or determine the right treatment for a particular person. See our full Medical Disclaimer for the complete boundaries of this website.
